These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Google Tasks MCP Server ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The Service provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI assistants (such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Claude Code) to interact with Google Tasks on your behalf. The Service acts as a secure bridge between your AI assistant and Google's APIs.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• Have a valid Google account with access to Google Tasks
• Have the authority to grant the Service access to your Google Tasks

3. Account and Authorization

To use the Service, you must authorize it to access your Google Tasks through Google's OAuth system. By completing this authorization, you:

• Grant the Service permission to read, create, modify, and delete tasks and task lists in your Google Tasks account
• Acknowledge that actions taken by your AI assistant through the Service will affect your actual Google Tasks data
• Accept responsibility for all actions performed through your authorized connection

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
• Use the Service to send automated queries to Google in violation of Google's Terms of Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without authorization

5. Google's Terms

Your use of Google Tasks through the Service is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Service accesses Google Tasks through official Google APIs in compliance with Google's requirements.

6. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of data is described in our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We store only OAuth tokens necessary for authentication
• We do not store your task data
• All stored credentials are encrypted at rest

7. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee:

• Continuous, uninterrupted access to the Service
• That the Service will be error-free
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by:

• Removing the MCP server configuration from your client
• Revoking access in your Google Account permissions

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
